Eclectic furniture for the living room

The sofa is at the heart of the living room. So, whenever you’re in need of a redesign, the seating is a good place to start. If you’re short on guest space, then a sofa bed like our Edwina collection is an ideal choice. But if you’re hunting for a large, roomy spot then a 4-seater option might be just what you need. We have a wide range of bespoke furniture like our sofas where you can choose the style, size and fabric, so that it’s personalised to you and your home. Complete your seating area with an accent armchair or two, along with key pieces like coffee tables for your favourite magazines, or bookshelves for a cosy reading nook.

Wooden furniture for the bedroom

The bedroom should feel like the calmest room in your home, which means the furniture colour, comfort and style needs to feel conducive to sleep. Begin by thinking about the colours you’re most drawn to, that make you feel soothed. Shades of blue, green and neutral have a calming effect on most people, but equally brighter colours may have this impact on you – it's completely down to your personal preference. Of course, you also want to ensure the colour you pick will complement the room and will make it feel warm and inviting. In which case, neutral greys and blues won’t work for a north-facing room as they will make the space feel cold. Instead, consider warmer tones like white walls against a natural wooden bed. Stylish furniture for the dining room

In the dining room, your dining table and chairs are the focus of any gathering. To help you decide on the right style, shape and size dining table you need, we have a handy how-to guide. Once you’ve decided on the furniture, you can then choose your accessories to complete the look. If you have hard wooden chairs, we recommend adding seat pads for comfort, then experimenting with your tablescape skills on the dining table with candles, vases, tablecloths, placemats and coasters.

If you have a large kitchen and are a keen cook, then you’ll need plenty of preparation space. A freestanding kitchen island is ideal for doing just that, and it will also become a stylish focal point in the room. Storage furniture like tall cabinets and cupboards, as well as wine racks and wall shelves will help you make the most of the vertical space. Solid wood furniture or more decorative rattan furniture are both long-lasting and will make the room feel warm and inviting, too.

Beautiful furniture for the home office

A comfortable, well organised space is what you need in your home office. Choose an ergonomically designed office chair and set up your desk in a dedicated area to create separation between your work and home life. Use the likes of shelves, drawers, filing cabinets and baskets to keep your office feeling tidy. Having plenty of storage also means you can put items away when you no longer need them, helping to minimise distractions during your working day.

Personal touches like photo frames and miniature artworks on your desk will make your office an inviting place to work. And a desk lamp will provide much needed targeted lighting, especially during the darker months. For more inspiration, read our five ways to transform your home office.

Designer furniture for the hallway

Before you do anything else, consider the size and shape of your hallway. If it is long and narrow, then a slender console table will suit the space perfectly. Though for hallways with more room to play with, you can bring in other pieces of useful furniture such as storage benches and coat racks. A trick for smaller hallways is to hang a large mirror on the wall – this will bounce plenty of light around and make your entranceway feel more spacious.
