- To use, attach a stick or dowel (not included) to the end of the popcorn maker, tighten the screw on the handle to secure. Add a tablespoon of oil to the pan along with 2 tablespoons of (pop)corn kernels. Put the pan into the campfire or fireplace. Listen for the oil to start sizzling and start gently shaking the maker until there are popping sounds. Continue shaking until the popping slows, then remove from the fire. Open carefully and enjoy your popcorn feast.
