Jamie’s Farm acts as a catalyst for change, enabling disadvantaged young people to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally through its unique residential programme. Each child is invited to live on one of four working farms for a week and given various responsibilities, such as chopping wood or collecting eggs for breakfast.
They are encouraged to spend more time outdoors, living in a real family environment where they are taught how to cook and can enjoy sociable meals and hot chocolates around the fire pit. Combining farming, family, and therapy, the team has helped more than 9,500 children find a renewed sense of purpose and happiness when all the other odds were stacked against them.
